MilkCart in front of Lambert's Dairy, Boaler Street, Liverpool, 1930s. Sent in by Elizabeth and Ken Ledgard of Canada after reading Lily's War. Elizabeth spotted similarities between the names of her Liverpudlian family, the Lamberts, and those of the characters in the book. Pure coincidence but it turns out that John Moor, June's milkman, who helped her with research remembered Bob Lambert, Elizabeth's uncle.
